The white marshmallow/white chocolate/Dots candy looks (to ME) just like the Brach's white & fruit square nougat candies that we all use to ne able to Self-Serve by the pound at the Brach's Candy Stations in most grocery stores. Great job Tawra! I'm gonna give it a try this year. Love your channel, your Family, and You!

You can freeze the dots and run them through a processor once or twice on pulse to make the prices smaller or use brands that are mini's. Also, you can melt the marshmallows much like for rice crispy treats then add the chocolate half way through since the melting point is different. Always start melting the ingredients that will take longer and more resilient first before any others.

When you use parchment paper crumple it in your hands before you line your pan. It forms exactly to the pan without curling.

The white nougat with these gummies was my favorite at the Sears candy counter. Do any of you remember the square counter of candies at Sears? The chocolate stars were another of my favorites!!

A method that I learned is I use almond bark and put it in a crockpot on low. Melts beautifully and keeps the chocolate smooth and easy to dip.

Im going to use the double boiler method. To me, microwaving Christmas candy takes the fun out of it.

I like how her son was involved with the cooking process and when he asked about a double boiler she took the time to explain and even showed him what it was. I think I will give this a try but I'm going to use candied fruit instead.

I just downloaded your free volume 1 cookbook. What a generous gift that was!! Thank you so much. I spent an hour reading your cookbook and loved your “free gift” in the end to meet our Savior. I literally cried. God has richly blessed you and your family and my prayer is for continued blessings throughout the rest of your days.
-much love Mary

Roll dots in corn starch and place in food processor using just the pulse. You can add more of the starch and brush of the excess afterwards.

This looks so good!! Do you remember the Brach's pick-a-mix candy that you could get in the grocery store? They had those white nougat candies with the colorful jellies in them.
They were my favorite. 😊

I made the nougat candies from a recipe I saw about 4 years ago, and it was during covid, and I lived alone. Took forever for me to eat them all. LOL
I also made some with Crows, because I like black licorice. Those were the bomb!!!!

Love this. Also love the background music. Sounds comforting like Charlie Brown Christmas music

That stained glass nougat was my favorite as a kid. When they used to have BRACHS loose cans by the scoop at grocery stores I remember this was one of my favs. I also loved the Neapolitan coconut candies. ❤

I have been making them for several years now, but I use Spice Drops instead of Dots. Family loves them,

That chocolate/marshmallow base looks quite versatile. You could probably use just about any candy.
