The Shadow Foreign Secretary, Andrew Mitchell, called for caution on an arms sales ban to Israel, urging Foreign Secretary David Lammy to “remember that just a few weeks ago, British arms and military personnel were defending our ally Israel from missiles launched by Iran.”
Lammy said that in terms of an arms sales embargo, he wants to make a distinction between weapons used by Israel for the war in Gaza and those used defensively.

You had NO CAUTION about sending arms to people who have committed war crimes for DECADES, according to numerous UN resolutions.

"Israel is *_NOT_* a democracy."

Excerpt from: *_'The Political System of Israel – Not a Democracy'_*, _German Institute for Global and Area Studies_

_With no other country in the Middle East does Germany maintain such close relations as it does with Israel. This is often justified on the grounds of shared democratic values. However, is the political system of Israel really that of a democracy? This question is a controversial one within academia. Giving an exact answer depends on the underlying concept of democracy drawn on._

_According to a broad concept of democracy, which promulgates the equality of all citizens as a defining feature hereof, Israel is at best a flawed democracy and at worst no democracy at all._

_On the basis of a minimalist concept of democracy, which limits itself to a few core criteria such as freedom of expression and freedom to form and join organisations as well as the right to vote, Israel is a democracy within the borders of 1949._

_However, following the June War of 1967, the space over which Israel would rule now extended to East Jerusalem, the Golan Heights, the West Bank, and the Gaza Strip._

_If a minimalist concept of democracy is consistently applied to the entire territory governed by Israel, a clear conclusion is to be drawn: After the conquest of the June War, Israel – which had just taken an important step towards democratic consolidation by abolishing military law in 1966 – took the path of de-democratisation in the last third of the twentieth century. This path then was completed in the twenty-first._

Is not real is an Apartheid state officially now and arms to an Apartheid state are different than arms to a democratic ally.
UK would never second an Apartheid regime would it?

This pantomime is so much easier to parse with the sound off.
I’m grateful for the subtitles. I cannot stand to hear the voices of these liars and evil doers.

His party ( the foreign sec. tory party) has terribly lost last May election partly because of their policy on Israel, Gaza war, and arms sale to Israel. He has no advice to offer.
