Taliban attacks police compound in Pakistan’s Karachi. #KarachiAttack #PakistaniSecurityForces

In the southern Pakistani city of Karachi, members of the Pakistani Taliban launched an attack on a police compound, resulting in the death of at least four people, including three security personnel and a civilian.

Gunfire and explosions were heard outside the compound, which houses various police buildings and residences. Two suicide bombers were killed, one of whom detonated his explosives after entering the police building.

The TTP claimed responsibility for the attack. A joint operation involving police and paramilitary forces cleared the building within three hours of the attack.

The assault is the latest in a series of attacks by armed groups in Pakistan since November, when the Pakistani Taliban ended a ceasefire with the government.
