The music is deafening and the strobe lights are blinding. They don't mind however, they died years ago. Their youthful visage is striking with their deathly pale skin. They dance and celebrate endlessly, thinking they cheated death. They haven't cheated death; they are merely in debt. For tonight, I come to collect.

Hotline Miami and Katana Zero have proven you can’t have an indie gorefest game without at least one dance club level 😏

I have forty hours in Deadbolt and I can say, with confidence, that I have listened to the soundtrack more than that. Bravo man, this album is a masterpiece

I love the distorted nature of the sounds in this. Like a brass instrument being pushed to its limit and quivering in its sound. It makes the dance floor feel a bit dirty and violent, and like the speakers are tearing themselves apart trying to blast the music as loud as they can.

If they ever make a deadbolt sequel which I hope they do, I hope your in charge on the music again, deadbolt has probably one of my favorite soundtracks of all time, I love this game to bits and wish I could play it for the first time again. You absolutely killed the soundtrack for the game

I walk with briskness and consistency. My speed never wavers, slows, quickens. I move at the medium pace of inevitability. They expect me, but underestimate me with immortal recklessness.
My gunfire flashes with the club lights. The night is good to me.

This is what they hear; an endless music, to which they write forever. They dance in an imitation of life and all its joys, for they feel neither joy nor life. Lascivious and lustful and desperate, they dance. Frantic and sensual, they rub against each other, begging the moving dead to make them warm.

It is futile, of course. The dead cannot be warm, no more than ice can flow. Yes. As the ice replicates in chill perfection the day it moved no more, so do these lovely corpses copy what they were in life; cold and beautiful, dreaming of the relief that will not come.

Let them be joyous, for on this night I shall collect their sorrow.

And an un-dead Neo, Morpheus and Trinity enter the dance room.

YouTube's auto music playlist for me is 40% Deadbolt, 40% RoR, and 20% SilvaGunner

Got into Hopoo Games creations backwards. First RoR2, then RoR and now Deadbolt.
Chris. You know how to make music and how to make the listener feel every single feeling at once when they listen to it.
Even though I don't like RoR2 ost as much as the previous ones, It's still amazing.

I comeback to this track so often, you nailed this game's soundtrack like a champ

While playing the game I was wondering if it was the composer who also had the idea to "muffle" the music whenever you're outdoor, which is something I found really cool.
Anyway great job on those tracks ;)

I love how the two synths trade off the melody. It's almost like a dance of death. <3

This piece of art is one of the most amazing things i've ever heard in video games.

Seriously, Deadbolt wouldn't be half as good without the soundtrack. It's great to see a vgm artist explore different styles (compared to Risk of Rain) and be that awesome at it.

This song makes me boogie so hard. I literally cannot stop moving from side to side while listening to this. It impedes my gaming. Please remove from the game so I can focus on the level. Sincerely, your biggest fan.

To give credit, I love Deadbolt, but I overlooked it at first. I took a second look at it because I loved Risk of Rain and its soundtrack and I saw the playlist for Deadbolt here. Glad I did because both the game and the music are fantastic.

Out of all the tunes I'm relistening to, this one nails the tone of the gameplay. The periodic scrambling betweeen playing it cool stealth while also those moments where you just have to get the job done.
