Volvo XC40 Recharge PHEV loosing power at 94-95kph in pure electric mode

When driving in pure electric mode, this Volvo XC40 Recharge PHEV drives up to 94/95 kph without problem. But as soon as you hit this magic value, the car refuses to go any faster. After a few seconds (if you release the accelerator slightly), you can then break this 94/95 kph barrier by again pressing on the accelerator. The problem is repeatable, and will occur when driven in pure-electric mode, from a 0 kph full stop.
