Many years ago I sort of invented this hot marinated for chicken wings and the first time my cat back then smelled those he went bananas. I soon learned that when ever I made that dish, I had to double up on the chicken because the danged cat would stop trying to steal pieces for himself. But once I took his hunger for this type of chicken into account and double up just to give him his cut, I finally managed to teach him so manners.

It wasn't long before we split that dish in equal parts, one for me and one for him. Fun little fact is that with those chicken wings I managed to teach me cat a whole slew of commands that he followed until the day he sadly passed away (That still hurts now years later).

It took me years before I was able to make another such dish, because it makes me too sad, but when I started to put away a few pieces as a sacrifice to his memory it helped and when ever I do now, I feel him there beside me begging for a piece.

And then the good memories comes back. How he in the beginning hunted those pieces and stole them straight of my plate by using tactics that would make a green beret proud, this includes sneak attacks, distraction attacks and kamikaze attacks (if you get at 6 kilo cat run up your back with claws set to I have to get there fast mode, you'd scream bloody murder too and can call it what ever you want.) We had full blown wars over those chicken wings.
But I learned that by giving him a piece as long as he acted nice worked wonders and that lead to days where anyone checking up on us would have seen both of us happily munching on our chicken wings side by side. Oddly enough it wasn't long before my cat understood words like, it is still too hot, you must wait they are not done yet and a lot more and as a trade off he taught me what some of his sounds meant, and that lead to me being able to ask him to show me and he lead me to what ever. I got 17 years with him and he saved my life 2 times by waking be due to smoke.

I really really miss my cat.

Haha. That naughty fellow is only extremely 'thankful' when he managed to caused a 'wreckage' in Simon's daily life! Yet.. that's what Simon needed most. He brought in so much of love, joyous, fun and 'mess' to light up Simon's dull and boring life. Love that naughty boi and all his friends/enemies so much.
