I love this camera for low light action shots. I sold my D5 and never looked back!

Ken just stop dissing the Nikon charger for having a separate attachment for USA mains sockets. Believe it or not, not everyone lives or works or is on holiday in the USA. Other countries do exist (thank goodness, and some have MUCH safer mains plugs and sockets)! You did not mention ANY of the improvements in the 6 mark II apart from the addition of an SD card slot, several of which the online professional moaners complained were absent on the original cameras. By the way, I prefer the presence of a locking button on the mode dial!

Sony A9ii and A7Riv were both made in Thailand 😂😂 get over where the camera was manufactured

The charger plug does turn 90 deg, slide the lever next to where your thumb was, once yo plug in the pronged plug

Just sold my R6 for the Z6ii. Can’t wait for it to arrive to see how much improvement over the Z6. I switched because I found the Z6 to be just as good as the R6 but I like Nikon files and 1.8 lenses much more.

One thing you missed is the new contact points within the battery compartment!

thanks for your quick reply, I read all your reviews, I wanted to know between Zeiss Biogon 35mm f / 2 ZM and Zeiss C Biogon 35mm f / 2.8 ZM the sharpest, because your review is the same for the 2 lenses.

Great unboxing! But this camera seems to have a lot of external rubbers. Will they get sticky soon? It is a problem that I had with my Nikon D7000 and several lenses. I miss the grip of pure textured hard plastic from old lenses. Thanks!

I always laugh at this China/Thailand vs US/Japan/Swiss, , the best DSLR ever built was made in Thailand, the legend Nikon D850, a camera that no one dares to question its toughness and raggedness. A lot better and stronger than some cameras that made in USA and Japan.
And this Z cameras are very well built for a mirrorless body.

Btw, I love your reviews.

Hi Ken,
Thanks for the video and for your work...
Just confused between a D780 and Z6ii I’ll be using it for bird photography with 200-500mm f5.6 and landscapes, travel and normal family use..which one do you recommend??

A shame to see you disparaging the camera without using it first, particularly since you have some of the best camera reviews on the internet. Plenty of people that have used the new II series cameras are reporting that the AF improvements are huge in both video and photography, and even superior to canon/sony in certain use cases. That combined with the superior IBIS that Nikon has, and I think this 2.0 release is a real contender.

From what I understand of the original Z6/Z7 and the II models, most of the improvement is on the inside. Having twice the processing power seems like it could open up a lot of doors...but I'm not holding my breath given how Nikon has been doing lately. I'm hoping that one of these would make a worthy successor to my D750, even if I have to give up on proper EXIF data for my vintage manual focus Nikkors. Seriously considering making a clean break and switching to Canon instead though.

Hey Ken

What’s the white gloves all about?

Now you have to explain something, Ken: in so many video's you plug your supplier saying they would never send anything that had been opened and used before by another person who returned it, and now you plug this same supplier saying it's great you can use the camera for a month and then send it back no questions asked. Really? That same supplier? What do they do with the gear sent back? Garbage bin?

Good, I have learned something from Ken today, batteries are when you combine cells, the single cell that you use in flashlights are not batteries. Thanks 😊

I have 2 bodies D750 and yesterday had the opportunity to sell one for Z6ii. I am a wedding photographer and wanted to upgrade but here in Greece in order to buy a z6ii i must get payed from 2 weddings.. So not so easy to change system for example.. And also consider that if i wont sell my d750 today i might stuck with them forever..Whats your opinion on that?

Has anyone tried the z6-2 with f mount glass. The focus is abysmal while using f mount glass in afc. I’m a long time Nikon shooter and have had the z6 and Z7 since their release, so I’m very familiar with the Nikon system. My z mount lenses work flawlessly. My f mount lenses focus just fine using afs but afc is another ballgame.
