I read the record for eggs in a year was 364 eggs set by a Black Australorp. We had an older Black Australorp that laid an egg with 5 yolks! she was getting crazy with doubles and triples every so often. Gotta love the earwig control.

We had chickens that were very personal with us. From birth they recognized us as their guardian and they would always come to us and stay near us. Usually asking for food. But they would always try to get on peoples lap too lol.

Fun fact, i have a baby rooster and the little guy attacks my hand! Once he defended himself from one of the older baby chicks. Btw i don’t recommend baby roosters if you have weak skin. i have weak skin and it hurts, along with their nails!
