Allan, you’re misunderstanding this chapter at several places and are coming away with an opposite conclusion. Paul is not establishing a doctrine that God chooses to love/elect only some people, he’s destroying that idea. The Jews he argued against already believed that doctrine. It was a hateful, arrogant doctrine that Paul knew was completely opposite to God’s character. Because you’re not starting with this context in mind You’re misunderstanding just about every point Paul is making and you’re teaching the very same terrible doctrine Paul was dismantling.
