To think I have walked across the Don river at low tide and not got my knees wet. I was a kid then 60 years ago.

This is truly devastating for so many, we are still marooned in Wood Lane.
The Church is remaining open 24/7 with food, hot water, toilet and blankets available; The Hare and Hounds next door are doing a sterling job.

Madness, Last time I was in Fishlakes was during the Queens Diamond Jubilee, At that time the Flood Defences had been very close to breaching, It's unbelievable that they weren't improved after that.

Excellent footage but so sorry for the local residents. I'm in Hull but feel safe at the moment.

National lottery funding should be spent on the areas hit by flooding instead of churches and sports clubs

Imagine if this was in Kent or Surrey. There’d be Oxfam ads on the telly and Johnson spaffing unpleasantness all over the place.

My sister, her husband and 4 cats live in the beautiful village of Fishlake in a bungalow, so no upper level to move up to. They are flooded and cut off with little charge left on their phones to communicate and say their welly's floated off so wandering around with wet feet for hours now. I worry about them and their cats who are making mournful noises unheard of before. What happens to all the animals.

Hi Danny,

Would we be able to use this online for the Express and Star? We will credit you in the video and you'll of course keep all copyright.

Regards,
Dan

Can I recommend you sending it to Boris Johnson, because I believe aerial videos give the real impact of how bad this situation is. There are many arguments about the whys and wherefores, and maybe planning depts., are alot to answer for, but the reality is that this will happen more in the future and action is required to have more prevention flood schemes, dredging, etc.

Hi Danny, Can we use this footage for a flooding report today - I'm asking on behalf of a Channel 4 News team. Kind regards, Steph

Best wishes to everyone who is suffering from this :( This is shocking, especially since the rain warning on Met Office was an Amber warning and not a Red warning. Fishlake is the only area where the water levels are continuing to rise according to the Environment Agency. There are 7 severe flood warnings but the other 6 state that no more rain is expected so river levels should decrease slowly, hopefully the river levels decrease in Fishlake too.

I live here in Doncaster and i've seen little kids in trollies with bags of cloths, people trapped in shopping centres overnight. The government hasn't done shit and likely doesn't give 2 shits. The only person that seems to care is Jeremy corbyn 😪
