Cirrus SR20 Landing MVY 9-4-09.mov

This is an older video I finally got the chance to post. It's of a landing at Martha's Vineyard Airport (KMVY) made during a trip there in September of 2009. I was riding right seat with my friend Bill Connolly in the SR20 - 168SR - which is the one I fly a lot. He was making the trip that morning and offered me a chance to go along. We each got our tickets after training at Norwood Flight Center, now the Norwood Flight Academy at about the same time, so we have a lot of similar experience. We each also rent this same plane a lot. This video was shot before I had started my recent multi-camera shooting approach. As a result this is all from one camera being hand-held by me as Bill brings us in to MVY, Runway 06. There is a lot of panning to see different views of the cockpit and the approach itself, and hopefully that will be interesting to many of you. There is ATC audio along with the HD video. I thought you might enjoy watching this approach, which I have flown several times myself and plan to do again this spring.

it gets quite busy, a lot of corporate traffic, helicopters, and a lot of training as well, the pattern does get packed especially on weekends, the landing fee doesnt seem to deter anyone from practicing there : )

@aviator147 the only place i've ever paid a "landing fee" (Airport Flowage Fee) in a single engine prop was at Houston Intercontinental, and it was a dollar and some change (paid to the FBO with your fuel). I wouldn't worry about it.

lol, i asked because i fly out of farmingdale NY -Republic Airport KFRG and every landing is $2.50, thats why when i practice landings i got out to bridgeport KBDR, and I also heard that East Hampton has a fee too.

wow. just by looking at the TAC i'm assuming that's a very busy airport. They probably had to impose the landing fee to keep people out of the pattern there. I don't fly in such busy airspace as you do. Landing fees are not any concern here.
