I'm so glad the 2nd stylist offered to help and even stayed late to make sure you were happy. That's just so respectful and kind!! You look great with the new look too !!

I wish we could’ve heard what she told the stylist she wanted.

I’m sorry, but watched it again, & don’t notice one difference in color, other than a different style. The color looks exactly the same

The second stylist just used a balayage technique to highlight the ends in a gradient. I truly believe the first stylist could have done the same. The color looked great in the first one but the lighter ends are what’s popular right now (for like the past 8 years). I truly believe the first stylist was just trying to keep the hair as healthy as possible through the chemical process. If you have a background of hair loss and the goal is to protect the hair you have to go the long route of lightening so then you’re not frying the hair so much at one time. I truly feel like the first stylist had nothing but her best interests in mind while trying to give her what she wanted.

I love how your first stylist try her best, and when she realized what she was doing was not right, she stopped and got a second opinion. It’s a really admirable thing to reach out to someone else in the same field and ask for there help because you were unable to make the client 100% happy great job to these stylists❤❤

I think we overreacted but I’m happy you got the result you were looking for.
You didn’t seem comfortable at all with the first stylist since she started. I don’t think she did a bad job, I think you just didn’t work well with her. You should of protected her identity because this could effect her career. At the end of the day she still catered to your needs.

Yes, it’s just hair but / however you are paying for a service and it should be the way you want it. There are people all of the country that can do hair and extensions. You don’t have to keep going back to FL. It just requires a little effort, research and planning on your part to find a salon / stylist in the areas that you guys are traveling through. Wishing you healing and wellness. 🙏💝

Picture references are usually better then just “explaining” as a hairstylist I could see and feel both sides of the coin. Miscommunication can be fixed on both sides.

Can someone explain what the first stylist did wrong please? Also, how specific are you talking? Did you show her pictures and she just did her own thing anyways? We need context.

You shouldve blurred the face of the first hairstylist

love this look and love that this place has such professionalism to rectify a mistake! for those of you that may be confused i believe the issue was with the highlights and the lighter tone being so close to her roots, with regrowth and if hair is thinning or unpredictable, this style can be harder to maintain and can also amplify the appearance of regrowth and thinning

(lighter hair can give the appearance of lighter hair, highlights closer to the forehead can also give the forehead a bigger appearance, especially if someone has thinner hair at the front of their head).

with cooler tones, it can help give the hair a fuller look while also not requiring as much touch up or maintenance! it DOES make a difference and i’m happy that this mama was able to get the look she was after as it’s stunning!

let’s not forget how much we ourselves can magnify something in our minds - when we want something to look a certain way. it’s especially hard to speak up at a lot of hair salons so even if it’s “minor”, we should always speak up, and as mama said, there was a miscommunication (which happens) - especially if you’re paying for it!

I cant imagine flying to Florida every 6 weeks to get my hair done. That just seems outrageous to me.

As someone who used to be a hairstylist one of my pet peeve’s was someone constantly touching and picking in their hair while I’m trying to do it! Like GIRL! I know the first stylist was waaay more than happy to get you outta her chair 😂😂😂😂

I totally understand being emotional about hair. I dont have EDS, but i am disabled with a big ole handful of conditions, and because of one of them, ive had to be on a med for decades that makes my hair fall out. My hair used to be so full, but now its suuuuper thinned out, and my hair has always been my favorite part of myself🤷‍♀️ i have been taking olly gummies for over 6 months now, and my hair doesnt fall out as much as it used to, but idk if itll ever be the same. Sending you love hugs, all the good vibes, and ofcourse my extra spoons❤

You look great! I struggle with hair loss from hashimotos. Braided my hair for years with feed in extensions, not taking enough time between braids, now my hair is very broken but I’m trying to grow it without hiding underneath extensions too. I’ve come close to giving up and returning to pixie or braids but videos like these give me courage. ❤

Getting emotional over hair is absolutely okay. It’s literally a huge thing that most of us love and value. I’m glad they stayed and fixed your hair because it turned out great ❤

Hey-it’s really a pretty color. It looks soft & naturally kissed by light. The stylist is actually superb for taking the follow up instructions to make her client happy rather than taking it personally or making it about her. Really a nice turnaround!

I’ve been seriously I’ll and lost most of my hair… it is such a part of our identity and I don’t think most people realize it until they’ve lost the choice. My husband is either sweet or blind because he’s always saying it’s fine… yep so fine you can see my scalp through it. I’m so glad you got it the way you wanted it❤
