Krampus: Witches, Demons, and Cheer

San Antonio’s King William neighborhood hosted its first-ever Krampus Parade, drawing thousands to enjoy horned demons, witches, and St. Nicholas figures honoring Germanic traditions. The festive celebration showcased the city's rich cultural diversity. However, not everyone embraced the event. Evangelical protesters, some dressed as Jesus and wielding megaphones, criticized the parade for allegedly promoting fear and judgment. Ironically, their presence seemed to attract even more onlookers. Despite the protests, the parade was a resounding success, with attendees eager to make this unique holiday celebration an annual tradition.
