No mention of touchless car washes? Almost all the car washes I see nowadays are touchless

I've had a membership at moo moo car wash in Ohio for years now. It has help to keep my car I got 8 years ago still looking new today. It is definitely nice and necessary in the winter months to keep the salt from building up and rusting the body.

The modern brushless car wash (US) is a culprit for vehicle headlamps to fog-over. How do I know? I have a model year 2000 pickup truck I've hand-washed three times in its life, front headlamps are still clear; as I do use a cleaner for the windshield/windows/mirrors and lights front and rear.
An acquaintance of mine had a 2001 model year of same pickup, where he has kept it looking immaculate over the years with weekly visits to the drive-thru car wash. By 2016 the front headlamps were so fogged-over they looked like someone took tan spray paint on them; where he had to get new headlamps.
We live in the same neighborhood, with the vehicles parked outdoors 24/7.
BTW: Where I live there's adequate rainfall and rainstorms that does well to scrub away the grime on my truck. The white paint is also a plus.
