More people in Singapore are experiencing symptoms of dementia at an earlier age, according to the National Neuroscience Institute. The institute has seen people as young as 40 being diagnosed with dementia. Young Onset Dementia (YOD) refers to dementia affecting people aged 65 and below. Associate Professor Nagaendran Kandiah, Director of the Dementia Research Centre Singapore at the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, talks about the rise in YOD in Singapore. He speaks about what to do if some people notice tell-tale signs of dementia and if it can be prevented.

Why is no one suspecting the relentless effort to "lower cholesterol level" and the wide-spread use of the statin drug as one of the possible causes?

There were few moments where the newscaster interrupted the professor to elaborate more.

Air pollution, noise pollution, higher temperatures disrupting sleep, stressful society...
Everything has a cost, Singapore.

Caring for a loved one is part of what's called "family". That's a duty of a family member. So don't waste time on people who won't care about you, but spend time on those who will care.

UPF. Ultra processed food. High sugar food. They strip the lining of the brain slowly. Lack of sleep and late night coffee.

As a mental health nurse here in the UK(Scotland), what I observed Is the stress and over stimulation of brain also cause dementia.

The c19 spikes are known to react with fibrin in the body to cause amyloidosis. The spikes have been deposited in places they should not be. Natural infection would never even reach the systemic level at this stage (healthy immune system will stop them at mucosal layer at respiratory level) compared to artificial intervention that uses Lipid Nano Particles like a trojan horse to deliver programming 'code' (mrna) to your cells, everywhere. I expect to see more and more of this happening in Singapore due to that intervention and the aggressive GasLighting by the PAP via news media like this to continue instead of addressing the culprit i mentioned. The political costs of harming your own citizens are too high to be discussed, exposed mainstream.

Does the anchor knows how to conduct an interview ? Why is she interrupting the professor when he is talking midway ? It is so uncomfortable watching this discussion.

This year's problems are almost certain to be more challenging. Looking back, I see that I made terrible financial decisions during the previous year because I was so focused on my portfolio. I was forced to decide between boosting my investments and buying a house. When I decided to sell my possessions, I realized that the house I had purchased required more maintenance than I had imagined. It's getting tougher to tell how much long I can put up with this.

Extreme work stress is real. Unless something is done about this then the numbers of people getting dementia will only increases.
