Then we’ll delve into the rise of social credit systems, using Uber as an example of how driver ratings have become a tool for societal control.

And, of course, see the implications of China's social credit system, where every citizen's actions are scored, impacting access to education, employment, and even travel.

I really dislike the idea of giving my id and full facial scan to any online (or offline) entity

Everybody hating on China's Behavior Rating but no one is talking about the US Credit Score system... That might deserve a negative review 😅

I think the Chinese Rating system is way worse than depicted in this video. For one the system is a huge privacy invasion. The government is controlling things that they really should have no business in. For example, people with a to low credit score cannot get married and other things like that. It's also heavily used to control the public view of the CCP. This system is treating humans like products that must obey the authorities. There are a lot more problems with a rating system like this, however the worst part about it are the ethics. People are not valued as humans and their freedom was robbed the day that this system was started. It's inhuman

Before watching I'll say what I expect from a intelligent video about the subject: Social credit is way more fair than money as a measure of someone worth, that being said people should not treat each other as products.

What would be really shit to see: Some dumb western view of freedom and democracy that ignores the facts that their current lifestyle is sustained by centuries of brutal exploitation of other countries.

What I think is that any application such as a "Social Credit System" should be optional, not mandatory, and reward those who choose to use it and not penalise those who don't. For example, those who choose vegetarianism over a carnivore diet should get a discount on their groceries or food vouchers. Those who drive their car for less than say 100km/week should get a discount on fuel and public transit tickets, etc. This could work and incentivise a more sustainable and healthier lifestyle, along with good habits, involvement in community projects for free cinema tickets etc the list is endless. I would be involved in something like this, but not if it is forced on me with a lot of other catches and conditions.
