Researchers from Tel Aviv University in Israel unveiled a 3D printed heart with human tissue and vessels.

Fatty tissue taken from patients in a biopsy was used to create the “ink” for the printout of the heart.

Calling it a “major breakthrough”, scientists say they hope the technology could produce hearts suitable for transplant into humans as well as patches to repair or regenerate defective hearts.

Among the challenges that remain is finding a way to generate enough cells to create the tissue required to “print” a human-sized heart.

Human Lymph Nodes eerily resemble the basic structures and processes of the Kidney. Would it be possible to “print” a human kidney, the lymph node being the basis?

Still a long way to go, but isn't it better to just replace with a mechanic metal heart?
