Edit, since apparently people are still replying to this and being upset about it and I'm tired of getting notifications: This comment was meant to be a joke. I wasn't trying to say that Louis was gay. I was just joking about how this song could easily be interpreted as being about the feelings of queer people. I've done the same thing with songs by other straight artists. Me saying this was no different than me saying Jackie and Wilson by Hozier is a lesbian song. Obviously it isn't actually. Louis have u thought about that u actually say you're brave, u start the album with you're and ends it with brave, like the first lyric on the album is "you're a nightmare on the dancefloor" and end it with "and it's only for the brave"

Whether its is what Louis meant while he wrote the song or not, the interpretation of this being about accepting your sexuality and being brave enough to come out and publicly share who you are in a world where homophobia is still unfortunately very present is a really beautiful narrative and it’s hugely important and means a lot for the lgbtq+ community, it’s an incredible song
