Wow thank you so much for this. I had no idea what home flex was until it was too late, by that I mean some guy came out, put one in and it was only about 25 feet, I looked it up and it costs $57 at home Depot. After you tighten the nut securely and create the flare can you then unscrew the nut if needed and will the nut spin freely? Can you then re-tighten the nut when ready?

If CSST Connection had to be removed to fix a leak in black pipe, could you reattach the CSST with out having to cut off the end and redoing? I’ve seen other videos just reattaching and just tightening with no leaks!

My question is, is that sediment trap to code?? I believe the gas should be fed from the top to a tee with a right turn to the appliance and a five inch leg on the bottom of the tee for the trap.

When you cut the pipe use a good pipe cutter not some worn out device and go back at least 3or 4 inches so the cutter rides on a smooth surface not on the end. Some times it is hard to cut all the way around and maybe1/4 '' is still attached use a razor knife to score this area or maybe cut through and then bend it back and forth to finish the cut I use a file to get a smooth end if you pipe is too short because you messed up the first cut us a nipple to get more length I like the pro flex fitings better they go back 4 groves and have a rubber o ring instead of that split washer...Since you put on that split washer right at the end if you over tighten it you can pull the washer over the end of the pipe and get a leak I use a battery powered leak detector to make sure I don't have any leaks and i check it the one or two days

Good video sir. The Only issue I have is u didnt ground the ccst. They have been known to catch fire from lightning strikes & it's a requirement now unless u buy the grounded csst.
