Did Batman really sacrifice Red Hood?
The Caped Crusader has been facing off against Failsafe, a nearly indestructible version of himself taken over by one of the hardest villains he has ever faced in the form of Zur-En-Arrh. While Batman originally planned to sacrifice himself, Red Hood knew the world needed Batman a lot more than it needed him and volunteered to die in his place.
Since Failsafe is an android designed to activate and hunt down Batman should he ever break his own no kill rule, its programming activated and shutdown from the inside the moment Batman tricked Zur into delivering a fatal blow to Jason.
And while Zur did truly kill Jason, he was only dead for a moment thanks to a new suit Batman created, that would inject Jason with Lazarus resin the moment he was killed, instantly reviving him.
