KUKA partner, Life Science Robotics, has developed a revolutionary rehabilitation therapy system that uses a KUKA LBR Med robot. They were demoing it at Medica 2018 in Düsseldorf, Germany, and took the opportunity to talk with us about it.

The robotic system, named ROBERT®, is developed for rehabilitation of bedridden patients. The purpose of ROBERT® is to identify needs and to make a difference for patients, healthcare workers and society. With our LBR Med as a main component, ROBERT® is the first robot in the world that is custom-made for the purpose of taking care of rehabilitation of bedridden patients.

You should add a start/stop switch for the patient just to improve trust.
Maybe to adjust speed, too.
You can let it run unattended and work with multiple patients at the same time.

I would like to add how accessible and affordable is this robot? Can it be used in a home environment as most bed ridden / semi bed ridden patients usually at home or in a nursing home to use. I personally would like use it at home and also help others who are unfortunate to be disable. How easy is it to be moved around from home to home. How easy is it to operate the robots. What are the dangers?

I would like to know more. Is this the only robot you make for bed ridden patient. Are there any other robots for semi bed ridden patients. I am a care giver to my godson and is IT trained and could see how difficult it is to rehab. Please send me more information.

The problem is that the cost for this robot is only for Bilgate and other rich people who are not disabled

Human memory is notoriously unreliable. The best doctors will no longer be the ones with the best memory for differential lists or dosages, preventive measures long list+ Full body exam, more updated accurate criteria to diagnose diseases through auto most accurate ECG reading + fast auto computerized more precise CT/X-ray, ECG/EEG diagnosis. The doctors who were the most impressive against computers. Now that computers have eclipsed us in these realms.

👉The best doctors will hone complementary skills with computers in near future. If, They are really best in practice/skill... Otherwise 😂

Our Memory also change over time. We also lose the details of experience rapidly but retain just our understanding of its gist much longer. Medical errors is also 3rd leading cause of death. Therefore, MD robotics needed too much in medicine also. World is looking towards China. China can make it possible as soon as possible.
