The Chima connection hits me so much because I was a massive Chima fan. Of the sets and the series. The fact there is a modicum chance of seeing it again is unbelievable.

fun fact, clutch was actually canon to ninjago since the first season. cole name dropped him as the guy who discovered the fangblade used for the fang cup.

ninjago has been establishing a connected universe from the start and i find that incredibly cool.

As one of the few people who watched the clutch powers movie growing up hearing the reference to clutch powers in season one with him discovering the fangblades and the rock one originally being part of his collection was an absolute blast.

I’m oddly nostalgic for Power Miners. I used some of the pieces from the big rock monsters in some bionicle MOCs when I was a kid. It was one of the only options I had at the time if I wanted to have posable fingers. It was like a wandering ronin with a cursed arm, really cool idea. Wish I had the pieces to recreate him

I can at least appreciate how Ninjago pays homage to older themes that it actually used to share the shelves with in stores. Power miners was one of my favorite themes along with Mars Mission and Bionicle. Chima was a fun show, too

I was a Lego ninjago fan when it first came out and grew out of it. I didn’t even notice these refrences existed at all. Cool video.
