Curriculum Hits and Misses

Hi friends ! I think that everytime us homeschool mamas no matter how much we research and prepared to work with our kids, very often we see that there is always a program that has been a miss. At the beginning of my homeschool journey this bother me greatly, but as we extend some grace and trust the Lord I have learned to accept and see those misses as an opportunity to gain experience and to remind us that we are not perfect (nothing is ) and that we should extend ourselves some grace as well to our kids. I love these types of videos. I agree that history is hard in the younger grades. Sometimes taking a break and just reading picture book biographies of people from the time period you want to cover is easier and more enjoyable.

Hi there, I tried several math curriculums too. We are now using Math With Confidence and I can’t believe how much my daughter enjoys it. Just thought I’d mention it 🙏🏼

Have you thought about maybe a traditional curriculum for math or history; like, BJU. If he likes Singapore but wants to be more independent, math mammoth might work too or maybe even " life of Fred".
