Who Can Actually Beat the Boston Celtics?

The Celtics were dominant last year but who can take them down now? The NBA season is about 30 days away and this is a look at the Champs' biggest competition.

The thing with Klay and the Mavs is he doesn't need to be prime game 6 Klay on this team. He really just need to shoot the shots he gets, and as stated, he's the 2nd greatest shooter of all time.

The Bucks actually did something about the SG position. They got in GTJ who is actually a decent SG and def a defensive upgrade. They also got Delon Wright who is one of the best perimeter defenders in the league.

I said it last year that no one is beating that Boston team. People were trolling me and saying Luka and Kyrie would absolutely destroy them and look what happened. The crazy think is that Boston still looked like the best team in the NBA without KP. The only think stopping Boston from repeating at this point are themselves.

Tatum just has to keep producing like he has been every season and stay relatively healthy for his career and by the end the resume will speak for itself. Im a Knicks fan so i dont care one way or the other but im pretty sure he'll finish as one of the greatest players ever. Actually the basketball purist in me does care. The Tatum i saw for the first half of last season was easily one of the greatest players ive ever watched in my 20+ years watching nba. He was a monster. I do get the criticism hes still inconsisent, especially in the playoffs but people go overboard on him.

The thing is, Klay doesn't need to roll back the clock in Dallas offensively. All he has to do is replace THJ and be more consistent than THJ as an outside threat. In the start of the season, THJ was leading for 6th man of the year, third highest scorer on Dallas with like 16ppg. Klay is better, already can average 18ppg while being defended as the number two option. In Dallas he's going to be 3rd or 4th depending on how the pick and roll lobs are going. Even a regressed Klay is a better defender than THJ. The bigger effect Klay might have on Dallas is the defense for the whole 48min. THJ comes off the bench most of the time when Kyrie or Luka sits. Klay is going to take starter position and probably starter minutes with weaker defense than DJJ had.

Current Celtics have a big 3 with not only a bonus with Holiday but also Derrick White. Dudes hitting almost Three 3's a game at a high percentage and getting over a block a game on the perimeter with 15-16 points a game as well as solid play making. These Celtics are insane. I'm not even a Celtics fan lol

Mavs offseason is not just about Klay. I think Mavs will be fine if he just the same as he was last season, cos they added more shooting and depth to the bench with Spencer, Naji and Grimes.

Id say an underrated contender to upset Boston would be Minnesota. They had great games, that were very close, against them last year. They seem to have a much better matchup against them than many other teams, and I feel like they would possibly be the one to defeat them.
