*"You spend your whole life stuck in a labyrinth, thinking about how you'll escape one day, and how awesome it will be, and imagining that future keeps you going... But you never do it. You just use the future to escape the present."*

"y'all smoke to enjoy it, i smoke to die" is the worst line i've ever read in a YA novel and if it's not included in the show i'll be disappointed

In the summer of 2008, I’d just finished my sophomore year of high school. Among other traumatizing events, I’d been bullied so intensely that I had sunk into the deepest depression I’ve known in my now 27 years. While my parents were scrambling, trying to find me a therapist, trying to find a new school in which to enroll me, I was laying in bed. Every day. Every night. Feeling nothing. Until one day my mother absolutely insisted I accompany her to Schuler’s Books. And I found Looking for Alaska. I read this book, and for the first time in months I FELT. I had FEELINGS again. I experienced genuine human emotion.

To this day, any time I’m in a bookstore, I buy a copy of this book. So, yeah, I’m working with close to 200 copies. But I believe this book saved my life. And I believe it can and will save countless others.

Thank you, John Green, for giving us this gift. And thank you to all who were a part of bringing it to cinematic life.

kinda upset about the fact that they’re making alaska “less of a mystery” because that’s kind of the whole point of the book, that’s why it’s called LOOKING for alaska.

I never imagine alaska looking like that she looks and sound so fragile too far from the book description of the character

I don't wanna say it but like i feel like it's the elephant in the room. Alaska and Pudge look like brother and sister...

I wonder what they would do to the obscene things in the book. I must say that I expected a more of badass-looking character for Alaska and somewhat better for Colonial.

I wonder if they’ll keep in all the mature content and grittiness of the book or if they’ll pull a Perks of Being a Wallflower and tone things down. Don’t get me wrong, The Perks of Being a Wallflower is still a pretty solid movie.

If you’ve seen Kristine in The Society, you’ll know she is capable of playing the strong, independent role of Alaska

The cinematography coloring looks so bad, it looks like they used an instagram filter

unpopular opinion but this is EXACTLY how I imagined the characters, not even necessarily how they look but the vibe they give off

This is not at all how I imagined the characters, but I'm looking forward to this. I hope it doesn't disappoint.

I really enjoy the atmosphere of this serial, it’s so comfort and wonderful for me. I see me at Alaska in some deeds and can understand her.
The end of the serial is very unexpected and painful. It’s my favourite serial, and the best things I’ve ever seen.(about serials)
