Chloe Smith: get a job 140 miles away

I thought the Labour government had some incompetant MPs but this really takes the biscuit. The conservatives need to ditch this one asap before they lose more voters. I've never seen such a useless excuse for an MP. The conservatives need to buck their ideas up here.

If you own a house you would then have to cough up another lot of stamp duty each time you move (unless you pay rent). Stamp duty is making it very hard for people to move (especially in London).

"Nissan, somewhere near the hon. Gentleman’s constituency." Crausby's constituency is in Bolton; the new Nissan factory will be in Sunderland. So a 140mile, 8 hour commute counts as 'near.'

The previous government (labour) has brought this country to its present sad state. You can't expect these problems to be solved over night (even with a conservative government). I would agree though that this goverment is showing its lack of judgement by allowing Chloe Smith to work for them. She is utterly incompetant.

Not only did she not realise that Nissan is 143 miles away but it is clear from the shouts in the background from her own benches that they did not know either. It seems to me that these people need to get a grip on reality and come out of their well lined and well protected city bubble to see the mess they are making for the normal citizens of this country.

@y0urtubes my worse is here, job gone in care and the home shut down, cost cutting. By the way the home is for people with severe learning disabilities. So now they have to pack up and move to another home when they're all late 50s early 60s. Go David go!
