If the cgc cases ruin the books doesn’t that mean 50 year from now the only books in good condition are going to be the ones that weren’t graded? Sounds like CBCS needs to be given another chance for grading

I don’t understand how CGC is not responsible for the damage to the book when it is caused by infective product that they use. They are a “guarantee” company. They have no responsibility? It makes no sense to me.

I sent in 75 books…all cleaned and pressed….more than 12 came back 8.0 with “finger prints”. My presser uses gloves. CGC doesnt care…I got destroyed and have no recourse.

Great to see CGC are giving such love and care to all the books passing through their greasy hands...if you're paid for a service (especially the millions which CGC get), you should give it with pride.
I've had a handful of key books slabbed in the past. Wouldn't touch them with a bargepole now.

I’ve seen 40k in cgc books turn into 20k in cgc books in 1 day in Helena, MT. It was the 20 degrees below zero weather that did it.

Content like this truly makes me hesitate to send books anywhere now. Plus some grading companies *cough CGC* are not only short staffed, etc. but time and time again we see hurried work that lead to damaged bent and destroyed books. I am happy to see Mario in the 9.8, but the others make me sick for you.

I have a slab that also had staples pull and they gave me a 9.2 green label! I was so pissed. And it was caused by CSS pressing. Also, it seems like cgc is getting more harsh. Just got back a shipment with 6 out 9 submissions being 9.6. All 6 had light spine stress with no color breaking ticks. All were definitely 9.8 worthy.

yellow is a pretty forgiving color when it comes to spine tics...but yeah, looks super minty. and gorgeous.

I just sent in my first batch ever to CGC. It was about 42 books. The first 9 were not pressed. I estimated these to be a 9.8 or better. I received them back and all but one were a 9.8. The one that was lower was 9.4. The notes said that it was multiple printer crease left center of back cover. This is a new book Rogue & Gambit #3. The back covers on these virgin are all a light grey color. I have looked and compared to all the others and for the life of me I can’t find the crease. Maybe I just had someone that didn’t like the book. Either way, I was happy to get back 8/9 at 9.8. I can’t wait to see the others when they come back. I had CSS press them, but learning now that I may be better off checking others that do this. I am contacting the presser in Palm Beach for my next batch. Thanks so much for the great videos. I am learning a ton from these as a new collector. Really have fun with the hobby!
