My Background:
My name is Ciara, a registered nurse currently pursuing higher education in nursing. I am currently attending Walden University studying to be a mental health psychiatric nurse practitioner (PMHNP). I got my associate degree from a brick and mortar school, then went to get my bachelor's in the science of nursing from Western Governors University (WGU), a 100% online-based university. At one point in time, I was taking MSN informatics over at WGU, however, I had a change of heart and found a place at Walden University to be a psych NP. Join my struggles, my accomplishments in this channel as I embark on new territory.

This video is SUPER helpful! Thank you. I'm a junior and starting to really think about what I want to get into. Oncology is sticking out to me the most. Saving this video to refer back to when thinking of what skills or knowledge I should know.

Thank you for this. As a nurse who is worked in a OR for almost 20 years, I have taken on a new position as an Oncology Nurse. So much to learn until I start the position in 3 months. Love that resources are available so that I don’t go onto site “blindsides” and will know some terminology.

Hi! my mom just got diagnosed and we went to her first round of chemo today and it felt like a sign. Iʻve always wanted to be a nurse and going into the center and asking the nurses all sorts of questions sparked something in me. I think this is what I was meant to do! I just moved back home from college, (Iʻm in my freshman year) to help out at home, and Iʻve been watching all of the videos I can to learn about becoming an oncology nurse! your video was super helpful! let me know if you have any other videos where i could learn more from!

Thank you, ate! I have an upcoming oncology rotation for clinicals, and I have never worked there, so I'm super nervous. Gotta practice my dressing changes then. LOL.
