How to Make Textural Beats: Eurorack Modular Synth

Here's a quick rundown of how I put together this style of beat using my current minimal (ish) Eurorack Modular Synth System, let me know any questions in the comments and I'll try to answer! I was following along, nodding to myself thinking that I could replicate this with my setup, taking inspiration, then you got the WMD fracture and I realized how important it is to the sound! I have some ideas for replicating its behavior in ableton with Sampler and several recordings of claps.

Found this on reddit. Really love the sounds! Great tones and they all really just fit when the chords and vocal sample come in. Love the feel. I read on reddit that the chords were from Ableton, was that lil vocal stab there too or in the Squid? the cowbell texture made a real difference in atmosphere. Def going to use that technique :) Nice one!

Wait, was there an editing flub when you talk about the rimshot? It cuts from you saying it's from the Squid Sample to talking about a "half bassline/half kick part" and then talking about the BIA.

nice beat, also I've found Mutable Instruments Stages an incredibly useful module for percussion envelopes, especially hi hats, since it's so flexible on the setup (6 decay envelopes, 3 AD envelopes, mixes between...) and can CV the open/close times as well as set the curve along a wide variety of sounds!
