The Sony PlayStation 5 pre order has been chaos, it has been a nightmare. People all over the world are extremely upset at how Sony PlayStation and retail stores are handling the PS5 pre orders. It seems that every PS5 pre orders are sold out everywhere and when they do pop up again, the sites get bombarded with traffic and they crash.

This is a good thing to that they are more ps5s then ps4s at launch but they still not enough for everyone

Target had a weird restock yesterday at 5:30 pm est the digital version was sold out in less than a minute but was lucky enough to pre order the $500 version of the system.

I actually was one of the ones who signed up for the Sony pre-orders that only select people received an email for and got my email a couple days ago. The event was Friday at 10 AM PT so was at 1 PM my time. I was in the queue for 58 minutes, then it redirected me back into the queue for another 30 minutes all the while thinking i may actually get a PS5 pre-ordered since not all who registered got that email. Once that time frame ended it re-directed me into the store only to see the same thing you see now, nothing but controllers and so forth no consoles. They were limiting these to 1 per PSN ID and still thought they had run out even though I clicked into the queue exactly at 1. I assume others had queued up hours or even days before the event which I was under the impression if you did that it would screw up the URL as it can only be used once because I clicked the link to the queue the minute it turned 1 PM here and well, by the time I got into the store that was the result. The event was supposed to last into Saturday and even with an exclusive invite, still got shut out. Apparently it was due to the site traffic. Got another email this same evening saying time was running out so it seems the link still worked and it finally let me in to obtain one. Still sucks the way they did everyone else.

I got 2 from Walmart at 9:50 walking to my car about to give up. Me and my girlfriend just kept checking out when it said out of stock. Then we did it at the same time and we both got it.

I was one of lucky ones to get a pre-order at 9pm for Walmart.

I had all my info loaded and ready to go and started refreshing at 8:50 just in case it was available. I also took a few minutes to practice mouse strokes and which buttons to click as if I was preparing for a race.

I got mine last night at Walmart 9:00pm eastern time 🙋🏾‍♀️ like in the first two minutes it looked like it sold out and I was disappointed but like 25 minutes later I got a email from Walmart say it was restocked...but it still said sold out so I just kept trying to check out over and over again until I got a thank u for shopping at Walmart screen and a confirmation email.

I got it from Walmart last night. I just kept spamming refresh. It was in my cart then I went to check out and first it said out of stock then I clicked the save for later link and finally because Walmart would release more pre orders every few minutes I was successful. Disc console.

Yea, i got mine from walmart that window... actually, i got mine at 9 36pm est... i just kept hitting check out even though that took me back. Finally, got through and got mine after several attempt

I started at 6pm Wednesday. Took me till 1am to get my preorder. I even tried the most expensive bundles. Luckily I was able to get all the accessories too besides the media remote.

I pre ordered mine at my local GameStop. It wasn’t even a hassle at all haha I just asked and they were like oh yea we have like 3 pre orders left but sold out online. Apparently the stores get a different allocation than online

My sources say Best Buy is receiving 3-4 big waves of shipments by airfreight from now till Christmas. Everyone will get a ps5.

People were lining up yesterday at the Gamestop where I live at before they open and when they did, they told the people in line for it, the pre-orders sold out, everyone was pissed, I and a few others were lucky but don't give up fellow gamers, keep trying

I consider myself extremely lucky. I got on at 9pm est from best buy. My wife tried again(wanted the digital edition instead) within seconds and it didn't work. Also PayPal seems to be the secret to get through the process fast enough.

It crashed for me at 9pm but I kept refreshing the page afterwards and I was able to get one around 9:20pm.
