China foreign aid 'mocks taxpayers', Kevin O'Sullivan says 'NO NO NO!'

Joe Ventre from the TaxPayers' Alliance says giving millions of pounds to a country like China is "absolutely untenable", and makes a mockery of taxpayers, he told Kevin O'Sullivan on TalkTV that the situation "has to come to an end."

This comes as a number of senior Conservative politicians urged the Government to halt foreign aid to China before the next election. Those calling for a quick reaction include former Tory leader Iain Duncan Smith and former Brexit Secretary David Davis.

I was fuming when I read that we were paying aid for Chinese pensioners when many of our own are having to choose between heating and eating. It's madness to lift up any country that does not have our welfare at heart. I also read where Pakistan is dishing out money from British taxpayers in ATM machines.

This is madness. If trade deal equals foreign aid then we need to reconsider the trade deal, or to put it bluntly, the blackmail. India has a nuclear programme but 80% of its population don’t have access to a flushing toilet, polluting their fields instead, with all the ensuing parasites ending up in the population. Perhaps if we stop this, they’ll be forced to sort it out themselves. Cruel to be kind, or it’ll go on for ever.
