Falcon Crest finale | Angela's final words

Jane Wyman wrote Angela's soliloquy as a tribut to the series and the fans.
Was a great end after a desastrous season.
This is a new edition with images of the characters.

Angela's final words:
"Grandfather, how long has it been since you came to the valley and planted your first vine from Italy? I remember how you used to hold me on the saddle, riding through the fields and teaching me about the land and the vineyards and how precious they are together. Seems like only yesterday.

I think of all the people who've passed through these vineyards. There's Chase, Maggie, Cole, Vickie, and that feisty Melissa Agretti. And Erickson, killed in the plane crash that almost killed all of us. But I was spared to carry on your heritage.

Julia is safe and happy in the convent, and Emma and Frank will both be coming home soon. Oh, and Stavros. It was tempting, Grandfather, but in the end you knew I couldn't follow him and live in Greece, I couldn't leave Falcon Crest.

Training Lance to take over has been a challenge, but I think he's coming around; and for the first time I think Richard and I are beginning to understand each other.

Meanwhile, I'm going to do everything I can to keep the vineyards and the winery the jewel of the valley, just as you always dreamed they would be.

Yes, the past has its place, but I'll keep looking to the future. After all, there's a wedding today. Children are playing, more children are on the way..., and of course the land. Always the land. People come and go, but the land endures.

We gave my mother the nickname Angela Channing, she is now 93, I live with her in the capital city of Nairobi where I grew up watching Falcon Crest on a black and white TV set.

I love how Falcon Crest ended!! Not on a cliffhanger like Dallas and Dynasty. I am so glad Jane Wyman returned for the last three episodes of the show she was Falcon Crest!!!

When CBS was most dominant on Friday nights when you had the Duke of hazzard Dallas and falcon Crest it was worth TGIF moments but to remember falcon Crest and Jane Wyman she was the queen that cleaned her time back in the day ! I miss those days that Angela Channing was a woman you don't mess around with 👍 🍷

At least Falcon Crest tied everything up and didn't leave us hanging like some of the soap operas of that era.

What an excellent job you did putting this together. I so wanted to see the character Angela was talking about when the finale originally aired. This is the way it should have been done. The show had strayed so far away from its roots, but this brought it back. Thanks!

An amazing show I always and will always love Angela Channing

This show was still well written and directed, and had that amazing cast, all the way through the end of season 8. It jumped the shark completely when season 9 began, with the departures of Agretti, Emma and Chao-Li, and then Angela having to leave (due to Ms. Wyman's health) for all but the book ended first and last episode. That new cast didn't do it for any of us; the writing with atrocious, and the ratings plummeted. However, this final scene in the last episode was indeed a winner.
