Guys, I remember when PS4 launched I was thinking: Why should anyone buy a PS4 now? There are no games and we should wait. Now PS4 has so many great games after years. So dont say Nintendo will die because of the small game list on launch for Switch.

one of the reasons I love nintendo is local multiplayer... I never play online with friends I don't know why but it just never works out

Thing people tend to forget about local multiplayer is that it will ALWAYS keep working - imagine if we could no longer play any of the old Mario Kart games or have that nostalgic quick go on Goldeneye because their servers had been shut down....

It's not just the release lineup that is the problem. It's the fact that there's maybe one game coming out in the next year that I would buy. Also "it will have games" is not a good reason to pre-order. It's a reason to buy the console, once it does have good games...

the rule of thumb is dont preorder software, but preorder hardware as you can return it if need be.

Even a basic setup of Switch + Pro Controller + Zelda is going to cost me over $650 AUD
Nintendo are kidding themselves if they think i'm going to shell out that kinda money for a console

I've pre-ordered Switch and Zelda, but that's just because I like to have all platforms; it'll join my gaming computer, Xbox One S and PS4 Pro. I can see all of its flaws and don't honestly think Nintendo have earned my money, but I'm always going to get a new major console at launch by default.
