Volvo S60 2.5T AWD intake sound/turbo blow off

Stock S60 2.5T AWD with cone air filter and resonator delete.

I thought I was the only one that has a just a filter with factory pipe and mass air flow. It does the same as a ram air intake

Does the cold air snorkel still do it’s job if it’s an open filter like that ? I’m wondering if it’s worth building a quick box out of sheet metal. Just to sheild the filter from hot air a little better maybe and keeping the OE snorkel

Does this car have a blow off valve or recirculator valve because I just did the same thing with my 04 v70 2.5t and I get no turbo noises. Maybe I have a bad recirculator valve
