I never was able to afford a tie fighter set because honestly I never could justify spending 70$ on one so this is pretty good for 40$, and I feel like you could easily mod it a bit to make it less stubby

The old stormtrooper helmet is actually way more accurate if you do a side by side comparison. The new one is just too tall so it looks like it's been stretched out

I got this set a couple days ago, and I think this one is perfectly-scaled and priced. Two things I take points off for this set is the fact that there's no struts for the sides of the wings that are facing the cockpit, and there's nowhere for the pilot to put his pistol, however that was easily fixed by placing a clip piece in the back of the cockpit. Other than that, very nice set for the price.

I'm glad this has the has the regular tie cockpit piece. It allows for more customization and puts more of those pieces out in the wild.

Hard to go wrong with this one for the price. Can't wait for the release.

Yeah, this TIE fighter is borderline chibi style. Even so, I agree it’s very well done for a set with such a low piece count compared to recent TIE fighter sets

My head lore for the new tie is this:
It's a smaller experimental tie fighter for use on smaller ships to increase the number of fighters they can hold

The TIE has a very iconic look to it. As you said, it does have a chibi-ish look to it. Not too thrilled about that ball hinge connection in the front of those wings, but overall it does look nice. It does look kinda awkward with the spring shooters sticking out at the back. And yes, I would get this set. I’m still undecided on the x-wing set. I do wanna get general Dodonna
