DJI Phantom 3 4K edition unboxing and setup

This is an unboxing and brief setup of the new DJI Phantom 3 4K (wifi). This version of the Phantom 3 family is DIFFERENT from the standard, advanced, and professional in that it has the 4K camera of the Professional system on the chassis of the standard edition. This means it uses wifi for connecting to your phone (Not Light Bridge), and thus has a shorter video range and the quality of video streamed to your phone is lower.
The camera and gimbal are the same as the Professional model.

To responsibly fly this craft you must read and understand the operation of the quadcopter before taking off. Read the instruction manual and preferably learn to fly on a smaller craft before flying this model.

I would say it's closer to a P3 Pro without light bridge, Than a 3 standard with the pro camera.

Buy a Phanthon 3 4k, had already had another and spoil it. But now I can not see the station from the WIFI of my mobile. (Hauwei mate 8). What happens happening I buy it in the USA. Someone has an idea of what is going on, I am missing some step to do?

Hi mate, I've just got myself a P3 4K and have been surprised that it uses Wifi connection to phone/tablet not cable. I now understand that this will reduce range of video, does it reduce control range? Also, can i purchase a new controller (with Lightbridge USB cable) and get that to connect to P3 4K to get full range? Thanks in advance. :)

If the only difference between this and the pro is the resolution you get on your phone ( or pad ) and the range, than this looks like it's a very good deal. When you were tilting the camera it looked like there is almost or very little latency...I wonder if it is the same when you fly 500meters away.

our p3 4k will not connect to wifi it shows up in the connection list but whenever we click on it...it says connecting for like 2 seconds and then nothing happends.. any suggestions?

can you made video of phone screen when you fly? i interesting ebout cuality of wifi downlink .for me 480p is normal but dont need strobo or time lapse of video transmitting
