It was fabulous, I saw this match live and still remember it. This performance of France was jaw dropping, France suddenly came into the picture after a dismal performance in Group stages, nobody expected them to win against the Mighty Spanish (who went on to win the next Euro in 2008 and World Cup in 2010). But this was sheer class from Zidane, Henry, Ribery, Thuram, Viera. In Q/Fs they halted the unbeaten 11 match run of Mighty Brazil (with the likes of Ronaldo, Ronaldinho, Kaka, Roberto Carlos) in World Cup that they had carried since 2002 and in Semi-Finals they easily passed Portuguese Test only to see the tragic headbutt incident against Italy by Zidane that sent them back home.
