That's exactly what I had in my mind, now currency don't have a underlying value to them. Earlier the ₹100 note actually represented gold worth ₹100, now it's just a ₹100 paper.

I think there are 2 fundamental flaws in Cryptos
1 - is obviously because you cant trace the transaction originator
2 - is because it is ICT based that means it will have the same value across the world 🌍 - Bigger economies will never prefer this because they enjoy much privilege with their currency in Developing Countries ..

Futures and options were initially launched as hedging instruments. Then they later became popular as speculative instruments. Interestingly in tax calculation, they are positioned as a business income and not as a speculative income.

An interesting analysis on Akshat's interesting story : He spoke "Tulip" 39 times in this video - first at 3:43 and the last at 8:35 i.e. One "tulip" evry 7.5 seconds during this duration 🤣! Don't compare stock price with Bitcoin.
Fundamentally stock has underlaying value and company makes P&L.
But Bitcoin doesn't have underlaying value because it is speculative one that one day countries start accepting.

Dollar too has some kind of underlaying value to country GDP.

Warren Buffet said the same tulip story in an interview and used that analogy to talk about today's gold and crypto. Both these "assets' don't create any value. Stocks grow in price as the company profits. Hence it has value. But these two are just speculative. I am trying to understand crypto by auditing courses on MOOCs. But until I understand the technology I ain't spending a dime on crypto.
