I have a love hate relationship with this show.

The show sexualizes its main characters *alot* which are around ~12-14 and that genuinely makes me uncomfortable but at the same time I see why they're doing this, they're trying to portray puberty and how it affects teenagers, which usually sexually awakens them.

This show also brings up real life issues that affects teenagers other than this though, like sexual assault and sexual/gender Identity but I'm gonna be honest those aspects of the show are usually poorly handled. Jessi always brings up "women don't like being sexualized" or stuff like that and it always ends up being brushed off with mainly Andrew continuing to be a disgusting perv. And the way that Big mouth handles lgbt stuff hahaha... we aren't even gonna talk about that it's so bad.

I get what they're trying to do but I feel the way that they executed the show is questionable. I hope no actual teen has been influenced by this show that they think that this behavior is appropriate. I like certain messages that this show has like body acceptance and it has good messages for women like feminism and whatnot but it seems that the guy characters never grow out of their heterosexual activity. I guess that is realistic though ngl.

Idk, this show is very entertaining though.
