Good on her! K-pop and J-pop idols have to follow so many rules (probably not J-rock, unless you're music grew in the 80s over there). While getting an gig outside of Asia is as easy as "as long as you're music is good, have good ideals, and naturally pretty" to become an big music artist)

I think youd like Big Thief as well. Their singer Adrianne is sorta in the same vein as mitski (sort of). Shes another "angel with a good pen". Beautiful voice and imo one of the best songwriters of our time.
