This is the third video, our friend, the wonderful Alasdair McLellan has directed for us. He collaborated with a hero of ours, Raf Simons on the creative concept and direction. It was amazing to work with both of them and such a pleasure to meet and work with Millie, Paris, Ashton, Lulu and Ernesto! Thank you to Calvin Klein and everyone involved. This is true story of Romy having the first thought that she might be gay when she was 13/14.
She missed school accidentally and went to hang out with her brothers friends in a haunted forrest by their home. While all her brothers friends were cuddling up to girls and making out, she had her first thought that she might in to girls more than boys; which at first scared her so she panicked and ran off.
The line, “I can hear it now like I heard it then, ” is a reference to her remembering that scenario even 13/14 years ago. ‘I Dare You’ is about her daring herself to believe that she might not be like the other kids around her.

Fun fact I just found out: The school bus in the beginning leaves into a dead end street (Amesbury Road in LA, heading towards Griffith Park). So Millie just has to wait there for the bus returning and everything's fine 😁
