Today, I am talking to Drew Barrymore. Drew is a talented actress, producer, and director, known for her roles in films such as "E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial", "Charlie's Angels", and "50 First Dates." She made her acting debut at the age of six in the film "Altered States" and rose to fame as a child star in the 1982 film "E.T." She has since established herself as a leading lady in Hollywood and has also produced and directed several films. In addition to her successful career in the entertainment industry, she is also an author and a businesswoman, with her own production company and a cosmetics line. Currently, she hosts the The Drew Barrymore Show, which debuted in 2020 and has been renewed for a fourth season this year.

Drew shares her thoughts on being more empathetic, which means putting ourselves in others' shoes and treating them with kindness and compassion, why learning self-forgiveness is crucial for personal growth and healing, liberating or freeing yourself from mental, physical, or emotional constraints and can be achieved through self-awareness, self-care, and self-love. Prioritizing ourselves means taking care of our physical and mental well-being, setting boundaries, and making time for our own needs and wants.

It is important to remember that we cannot pour from an empty cup, and taking care of ourselves allows us to show up fully for others.

I have 15 years in and out of service industry between NYC and LA... EVERYONE in the industry knows Drew is by far the best celebrity to wait on. She NOTORIOUSLY tips 100% on her checks (yes, 100..) and is so kind to everyone in service. I've met, worked with and served many famous people and Drew's kindness is unrivaled.

I would rather be single and at peace than be in a toxic relationship. I fell in love with myself being single 🤣 and realised that loving myself needs to come first before I can care for others

I'm almost 60, been extremely happily single since my divorce 20 years ago. I haven't even dated, just focused on my two beautiful daughters, and my extended family. Much less stress, less drama

when i found out that i wouldn't have another child naturally, i decided to be a mother to the wildlife around me, planting flowers for the birds and bees, refilling the hummingbird feeders, and nursing lizards and whatever i find back to health.
i haven't met the right person for me yet. i asked for a soulmate, a highest vibrational match, and i got a dog who is amazing 😍, he is my soulmate.
sometimes i wonder if i will ever find that person who can enjoy life with me, and be happy and loving. but maybe that person is me.

I found out in my 70's that it is easier to forgive when I was happy in my own life. Point being:
Getting your own life in order and having peace and happiness is forgiving yourself first, before you can forgive others.🌹❤️

I don't think there's a more genuine, pure, and beautiful soul in the public eye than Drew Barrymore. What a light in the darkness she is. ❤ This is great.

I was married for 20 years, have two children and been divorced for 16 years. I have often thought that love is expressed through many relationships and I have no interest in ever marrying again. I love my peace. Thank you for this conversation about love. There needs to be more conversations like this. WOW!

Drew made me cry with her question. I got emotional because I felt where she was coming from, and I've been asking myself the same question. Thank you for this! There are so many of us out there experiencing the same issues. ❤

I, too, have been single for 7 years. At 56 years old, I sometimes feel like damaged goods from the society viewpoint. I, however, feel so complete with my children and grandchildren. I feel so at peace now and never have the desire to find a man to "complete" me.

Drew walks her talk...a kind and authentic person. A friend of mine used to live and work in L.A. (not a famous person). He said he met Drew in passing, and she was so sweet and down-to-earth.

It's true, there's so much pressure to find 'the one' your soul mate, movies, song.... it's endless.. I liked Jay's response that ALL LOVE MATTERS as much as 'the one' Wisdom on another level! Thank you ❤

About 25 years ago, I was at a friends party and Drew showed up. She was there as she knew someone who invited her. I was a regular person not in the entertainment business and she walked by and I mustered up the courage to say Hi. She came and sat down next to me, a complete stranger and talked to me for over an hour. She would put her hand on my arm and was a very warm person. We got into a very deep conversation together. To this day it amazes me that she even bothered to talk to me at all since there were far more "important" people at this party. She really is a gem.

I hope Drew keeps talking about her sobriety. There are so many women who need to hear this conversation. She prob has no idea how many women want, and need, to stop drinking. I have a lot of friends who hate themselves right now, bc they are being invited on dates "for drinks" with men, and are unable to say No, and doing things they didn't plan on or want. They don't know how to socialize, esp. on a first meet, without drinking. A lot of bad men on dating sites are counting on these women to overdrink, too. It's a problem.🤷🏼‍♀

Jay’s answer on love is fantastic, where he says to look at all the other people that love you. I just realized that I don’t have to buy into something I don’t believe in. Romantic love is great if it’s real, still too narrow if it controls me or dominates over me being who I want to be.

Drew’s appearance here is life saving for many, to be sure. Well done.

There will never be, another Drew Barrymore.

Drew is an amazing soul ❤ This interview was really inspiring for a female who is single in their 30s and being pressured by the society to settle down 🙏
