U.S. and China Relations

The United States-China relationship is fraught with rivalry and challenges on many different fronts, including political, cultural, trade, global governance, cyberwar, and conventional military brinksmanship. We will discuss the United States-China rivalry through the lens of a new book with one of its coauthors — former supreme allied commander of NATO, James Stavridis — as well as UW international relations expert Jessica Weeks. What factors could push the U.S. and China into military conflict? How can we prevent this from happening?
