What's new in REAPER v7.20

The small 7.20 update to REAPER brings two important changes I want to showcase in this video.
1 - The MIDI devices page of preferences has been split to separate input and output pages. For those with a lot of MIDI devices, you won't need to scroll the tiny lists any longer. A filter/search function below the list was added to further save time
2 - The menu and toolbar editor has several additions. You can multi-select to cut, copy, paste multiple entries between menus, which used to be just one at a time. You now have more control over tooltips of toolbar icons; and you can easily revert changes to your edited menus.

I watch all your updates since switching from Pro Tools about 2 years ago. Today I have a big/important recording session that I'm engineering and I made the decision to use Pro Tools instead for this session because of the "takes" feature. I find it faster to navigate and easier to manage since I can quickly name and toggle between them. I like how PT doesn't show a big stack of takes on the active track and only shows the one selected... with a button to toggle takes. I also really love the "library" feature of PT off on the right hand side. It lets me find the takes I want for export in an easy way since everything is properly named (by me) and organized in a list. I can select all the relevant stuff and export that for my clients. I wish Reaper could offer similar options. If it does already, I wish I knew how. When it comes to less important tracking sessions or for all mixing & mastering sessions I use Reaper. Thank you for the update information you continually provide!

I just updated to 7.22 from 7.12 and found an unpleasant feature. I used the following recording behavior: record mode: auto-punch selected items and add media items in layers, but when I rerecorded selected item, it created takes anyway. I really liked this option. Maybe someone else has encountered such a problem? What do you think about it?

Hi! is there an option to change the zoom in/out settings, so that when i use the mouse scroll it zooms in/out where my mouse pointer is at that moment. im all over the show when i need to zoom in and out a lot lol. thanks!

for some reason custom actions that i've assigned to toolbar buttons and various scripts i've installed before disappeared after this update. i don't know if it's because of update, but also don't recall changing anything in my reaper setup for the problem to occur. have anyone encountered similar issue?
