In case people want to know how to do this but are distracted by the music: the way I fixed this error for me was to right click on regedit and choose "run as administrator". Sorry, I really appreciate you posting a fix, I just couldn't concentrate!

if it didnt work for you in advanced security settings make sure in acces tab your name is in full control by checking it in basic permissions

if access is still denied for you, try running reggedit in Administrator Mode, full control is granted to Administrators by default, so that should work.

dude i by mistake did something in regedit because of which if i try to open any folder by double tap its not opening pls help me and i cannot open my settings, run cant even find it the windows button is also not working i tried every way to reset the p by upgrading, recovery but every time either the setup cant run or i cant find the settings cause it doesnt exist
