Keen to make a good second first impression, Casper puts on his chef hat and offers to cook Kat (Christina Ricci) and Dr. Harvey (Bill Pullman) breakfast.

Casper (1995): Seeing is believing when everyone’s favorite friendly ghost stars in this charming, live-action adventure from Steven Spielberg’s Amblin Entertainment. “Ghost therapist” Dr. James Harvey (Bill Pullman) and his daughter, Kat (Christina Ricci), have been hired by Carrigan Crittenden (Cathy Moriarty) and her partner-in-slime, Dibs (Eric Idle), to get rid of the spirits at drafty, old Whipstaff Manor. Sure enough, the place is haunted by The Ghostly Trio – Stretch, Stinkie and Fatso – who don’t believe “fleshies” should come anywhere near their haunted domain. But Kat soon meets another, very different kind of spirit: Casper, a good-natured ghost who's just looking for a friend. Can they all learn to live with each other? With dazzling special effects and undeniable humor, it’s a family friendly adventure that’s ghostly fun for everyone!

I looked up about this movie and Casper fell in love with Kat when he first seen her and when he was asking her " Can I keep you?" means that if she can be there for him to rely on and she also fell in love with him as well.

At 2:18 I just loved how the music blended on both of their hands going through each other in a gentle way. Just beautiful.

Man I remembered seeing this in the big screen at 95 when I was 11 and I just loved it. I remembered loved Kat’s fashion that I looked up catalog for the fall season hits.

Oh yes the movie where I got my nickname to use KAT from 8th grade till in my late Twenties. Still have the nickname but not too much. Love that nickname.

Christina Ricci at this stage was already beautiful and had an awareness of an adult.

I love Casper's reaction when Kat's dad walked into the kitchen.

I was amazed how good they animated Casper in this movie, and how disapointed when they ruined the animation in the other movies! WHY????

I love how this movie tries to show the positives of being a ghost. Not only they can fly, but go through walls, go invisible, not feel cold, shapeshift, and eat whatever you want. I'm surprised we don't see more ghosts in this movie

1:32 Can you imagine how much time it took to get that right? There is no fluid simulation!

Kind of saddening Christina Ricci doesn't particularly like her performance in this. I understand her wanting to move on to adult roles but she's amazing in this.

That moment when he passes his hand through hers and you got both her calling it cool and James Horner's angelic score playing? God this movie's pathos is on point.

I’d watch this one on VHS back in 99, simple care free kid days

It’s me or the CGI effects are amazing? This movie was released in 1995, and yet, it doesn’t look that dated nor off.

They did an awesome job here.
