What My Day Looks Like as a Pre-Med Student

Is studying Pre-Med in college easy? What does it take? What does a day look like, and how do I keep my life in balance? Today I am going to show you! What do you want to study in college? COMMENT BELOW!👇🏻

I can almost guarantee that you either know someone who was a pre-med student once, or someone who is currently. And if you don't, then at least you know me and that counts! Haha.

As this is my first year back in real school, I feel like I’m finally getting into the full swing of “real” life and “real” school. Idk what my freshman year was, but it was definitely an adjustment relearning what actually college is like. As part of that, because I'm a pre-med student, I got thrown full force into all my clinical hours, shadowing jobs, and upper-level classes, it's crazy!

I love the things I’m studying and participating in, which makes the long days feel a lot shorter. On top of my full-time school, I’m also still working full time in our family's businesses AND working part-time at a local neuropsychology clinic where I help aid in rehabilitation for patients with traumatic brain injuries. It's exhausting but I love every part of it!

Today I decided to document my day by balancing this full schedule with the rest of my social life, which has been tricky, but I think I'm finally starting to figure it out! Hope y'all enjoy it!!

Drop any questions below and I’ll answer them :)

Get that MCAT done as soon as possible so you have time to retake if you need and make sure you send out your applications to med schools as soon as the apps open so you have your best chance of getting into school! My fiancé is a 4th year medical student going into neurosurgery so I remember the process all too well. I would also suggest trying to start getting some publications when you can because it will help significantly when you match for residency!! As a nurse I selfishly would also say we love when premed students get some CNA/tech experience in the hospital because it makes them appreciate the techs and nurses so much more when they become doctors!

I feel like you're one of the few "influencers" or YouTubers I can relate to since I'm a chemical engineering major so really struggling to balance life+school 😅 it's inspiring and comforting to see that someone my age is also going through similar things with school! Thank you for posting this! xx

If Kamri can do everything she does, I think people can do anything.

Wish you all the best! As someone who started as a biology major, general chem was a nightmare!

I’m a premed student as well, currently a junior. I’m in orgo and take three upper level bio classes as well, it’s been hardest semester I’ve ever had BUT knowing that one day it’ll be worth it makes the time worth while. Best advice I have for you as an upperclassmen is try to make as many premed friends as possible! They will really really help you through the hardest times.

In my last quarter of community college (before transferring to university), I took these classes: intermediate Java programming, multivariable calculus, and discrete math 😢 to say that was the hardest quarter of college is a HUGE understatement!

I am taking summer classes and registered for my fall classes so to finish out community college the courses will be, Kinesiology(walk, jog, run), kinesiology (cardio core). US and Texas Constitutions, Mexican American Humanities, Biology(for non science majors), Art history 2, Psychology (child psych), and Psychology of personality. After that I will graduate in December!!

Hi! I'm a Neuro major too and I the slides about neuro really made me excited, love seeing more neuro majors and overall I definitely share your excitement for all you learn within the major. I actually grew up watching the whole fam, and from the same area, and lol our birthdays are like a day apart haha. It's really nice to just see someone my age going through similar things I am going to, definitely don't see a lot of influencers that are neuro majors. It would be really cool if you talked a bit about how you got some of you patient care hours, research, and other things pre-health students are always overwhelmed about. I think just watching someone and hearing from other people's perspectives really just makes you feel more understood! Again, love watching you and love these types of videos!

YES I'm a premed college student as well and was more curious about this part of your life, so thanks for sharing! So so true that every day in college is different, but that's part of why I love it! :)

No the most humbling thing ever is Kamri is walking to the exact car you have and for some reason you dont think about why the door was unlocked, then you get in and go to start it only to realize that the ignition wont turn, so you look around and realize its not your car and run out of there fast only to find your car nowhere near that car.

Kamri is such a comfort person for me. She reminds me of one of my best friends. We're not very close anymore, but it's nice having someone like her still in my life in a way.
