Whoopsie! Did this Mistake cost me $172?? Lets find out in this Stitch Fix unboxing!

Stitch Fix is a styling service that send you fashion items for you to try on. We are going to look at the clothes, try them on, and then check the prices which h are a little bit on the high side! I truly don't know if I understand the appeal of these types of services but I still end up purchasing items from them?!? let me know what you think about this and other styling services!

Today we try to recreate the Fall 2021 Decocrated subscription box with items that I find at home goods ! Is it better to select you own items or to get the surprise items in the box !

Hey guys! Today we are giving Stitch Fix another try and though I think you could find these items on your own for likely cheaper I do think unboxing these are fun! However remembering to open them and send them back in time is hard for me as you can see lol But thankfully, even though I was supposed to send these back a week ago, the website did actually let me choose to return them! So I guess that is just more of a guideline and not a hard fast rule, but it was almost a costly mistake!

I totally understand having a personal comfort zone when it comes to clothes, but I just wanted to say that you look absolutely fantastic in everything you tried on!!!

I personally don’t care if skinny jeans aren’t in fashion anymore, they’re the only pants I look okay in. I say you do you if you’re happy with them ❤️

Skinny jeans will never go out of style if we don’t let it happen ladies hold the line!!!

The jeans can be tucked into knee high boots, so that solves the issue with the legs being "baggy". The black top with the white polka-dot print can be worn with a plain black, spaghetti strap tank to hide the back opening, or find a lacey black tank to wear under it. The little puff at the shoulder of that top is hardly noticeable and it was pretty flattering on you as it gave you an hourglass shape. Take the mock neck sweater to a seamstress and ask to have the front of the neck cut open. You can also have it taken in so it's more fitted to your waist and feels better to you. Honestly, it's a flattering color on you and the little bit extra to have the neck and sides modified will make it more of an investment piece. The shoes, I get where you're coming from with the pointy toe thing, as I don't like wearing them either, but they do look nice on you! But if they aren't mentally comfortable, you won't wear them, so sell them.
Those are my suggestions on how to "fix" a monetary mess up that you can't return. Good luck with your decision on what to do💞

The black top is so cute. The deep V detracts from any effect the pouf sleeves may have on your shoulders (i didn’t notice any particular wideness). I think it’s actually pretty balanced. I can understand being self-conscious about the back. But with a cardigan or something, problem solved!

For the jeans, add a black bootie and any “shortness” issue you see should be alleviated.

If I paid a stylist and they sent me a shirt that exposed my back fat I would feel personally attacked.

If you email them you can get your return period extended! I’ve had to do that twice due to illness and they were super understanding!

Definitely like the idea of taking 172 and trying to recreate at like tj Maxx, Ross, etc. The general idea was there just style tweeks!

i've used stitch fix for years and they're definitely pretty lenient on that three day window lmao. i was really good about sending my returns back on time when i first started using them but it's gotten closer to 4 or 5 days when i get my box nowadays. one time i sent back my items probably a couple of days? late (whoops lol), but there was an additional issue where i think the usps tracking didn't go through to them, so they didn't know i had sent it back. i get a couple of emails warning me that i'll be charged if i don't send the items back. they will warn you before charging you! i just had to send them an email stating i had sent my items back the day after i'd done my checkout, they checked on their end (i'm assuming the emails were mostly automated until i contested it and they actually checked their returns), and i got a "we good" email back from them. no extra charges.

additionally i just want to defend stitch fix a little bit lol. i don't particularly hate shopping in stores, but it's definitely not something that i enjoy. being able to try stuff on at home with other clothes i already own, get a second opinion from my mom, get fashionably trendy stuff in styles i like, all that is worth it for me. the items aren't "random" they conform to a style profile and you can even link a pinterest or something to better give your stylist an idea of what you like. you can leave a note for specific items or patterns you're looking for. the more specific you are about your needs, the better they are about sending stuff you'll probably like. i once said i needed something for a wedding and my next box had five cocktail dresses. and it's great for people who want to try different styles and items they might not realize they like. i got a denim jacket from them once and i thought "pfft like i'm gonna wear a denim jacket" but i tried it on and loved it. i never would have tried it on at a store. i have had to recently slow down my boxes to every three months because i just hardly ever go out anymore (who does? lmao) but i still love them as a service.

i think it would be an interesting video idea if you created a style profile completely different from your usual style and see how well they matched it. like ipsy showdwon but with clothes!

I have pretty severe body dysmorphia, so when you shared your sizes and you looked so great in the outfits (even if they weren't to your personal taste, totally understand) it really gave me a boost, so thank you for sharing!

I honestly blame Alexandria for my newfound love of old people cardigans...I bought my first one yesterday and I'm honestly in love with it! It's so comfy and warm (but not overly warm) and is so practical...where has this been all my life?

If you have Burlington Coat Factory (similar to home goods and the like but for clothes) near you, I think it could be fun to recreate your boxes and size down as needed 💜

The fact that you only have a tiny window to return them makes it sound like such a scam. There are a million reasons why you might not be able to return them on time outside of just not getting around to opening it.

I totally get the mock/turtle neck thing, I’ve hated wearing them ever since I was a kid.

Your whoopsie is what we in the ADHD community like to call “adhd tax” being charged for things bc we forgot to return them among other things
