I think the reasons for Godzilla being a “step dad” was to avoid portrayal or mentions of “mating”. Plus in addition the fact Godzilla reproduces asexually. But it actually works to make the relationship more heartwarming. Cause Godzilla & Komodothrax just wanted companionship.

I felt sorry for the G Man! It was heart breaking, finally finding a mate to be happy. Then her and his child get killed! I would have loved if they did a follow up episode about Godzilla being depressed and Nick and the others have to find a way to help him cope with the pain of losing his mate.

I really wished it worked out between Godzilla and Komodithrax, but it ended in tragedy for Komodithrax and her baby, all because of some giant mutant turtle. No offense or resentment towards the teenage mutant ninja turtles.This version of Godzilla deserved love, and Komodithrax and her baby didn't deserve to die.

It's definitely one of the saddest moments in Godzilla's history he found love only to lose it.

It was really frustrating how no one mentioned this at the end of the episode, there was no empathy for Godzilla. Almost as if everyone was happy that things went back to status quo. They could've at least made Comodotrax turn out to be a toxic partner, so Godzilla would have to make the right decision by breaking up.
