What do hemophiliac human males have in common with dilute hen pigeons? Both are the result of a sex-linked recessive trait that works similarly but opposite in both species humans (XY sex determination system) and pigeons (ZW sex determination system).

In Asian pigeon, white is not an absence of colour. It can be dominant as well.
